Frequently Asked Questions

What is Mobile Fingerprinting?

Mobile fingerprinting uses a portable fingerprint lab  to capture fingerprints electronically, rather than using ink and paper. This innovation allows us to safely, neatly, and efficiently capture fingerprints in any location.

Why choose mobile fingerprinting?

The primary reasons our customers choose to use our mobile services are:

  1. Convenience: Mobile fingerprinting services can come to your location, making it easier to get fingerprinted.
  2. Speed: The process is generally faster than traditional ink-and-roll methods.
  3. Accuracy: Live scan fingerprinting is more accurate than traditional methods.
  4. Cleanliness: No ink is used, making the process cleaner.
What setup is needed for mobile fingerprinting?

Our mobile fingerprinting lab includes a laptop with proprietary software, a fingerprint scanner, and a wireless printer. All we require is a flat surface the size of a card table and at least one chair.

What should I do before getting my fingerprints taken?

Before getting your fingerprints taken:

  • Bring a valid, unexpired photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, passport) and any required documents or preferred fingerprint card (FD-258 cards provided).
  • Ensure your hands are moisturized, but avoid greasy lotions.
  • Do not wash your hands or use hand sanitizer before the appointment.
  • Inform the technician of any cuts, dry skin, or other hand conditions.
